CZ Shadow 2 vs TS 2: Which Race Gun?
Both pistols come from CZ's competition line and share the steel, 75-derived layout: low bore, slide inside the frame, heavy for stability. The difference is what they are built to compete in.
Action and trigger
The Shadow 2 is double/single-action: a heavier first pull if started hammer-down, then a very light single-action break. The TS 2 is single-action only, with a short, light trigger from the first shot.
Divisions
The Shadow 2's double/single-action design suits USPSA Production, and the optics-ready version is popular in Carry Optics. The TS 2 is aimed at divisions that allow single-action guns, such as Standard or Limited-style divisions. Check your rulebook before buying for a specific division.
Handling
The TS 2's longer slide and heavy frame keep it very flat. The Shadow 2 is the more versatile gun: it is still very heavy and soft-shooting, and its manual of arms is closer to a carry or duty pistol.
